Learning Series starts today!

I am so excited because today is the start of my Learning Series. I have a bunch of people coming tonight to learn about the fantastic art of Stamping! It’s going to be a super fun class.
The class participants will be learning so many cool things! And they will get to make 2 simply awesome cards, and take home a resource sheet with a number of stamping techniques. Some of the things I will be teaching tonight include:
- two step stamping
- using markers on stamps
- Stamping with wheels
- background stamps
- and soooo much more!
The class is at 7pm tonight. If you are interested in coming, please contact me ASAP as I need to ensure enough materials for everyone and space is limited.
Before I go I wanted to share with you another oldie but goodie, retiring product card.
Lots of our Stamps will be leaving us for good on May 31st. Buy them while you can!. I love the Crazy for Cupcake stamp set. I mean, who isn’t in love with cupcakes! This awesome set is definitely on my sad to see go list. I am however excited to see what fabulous new set will replace it.

10 years in Canada!

Stampin’ Up! has been bringing it’s papercrafty goodness to Canada for 10 years! My upline Caroline LeBel has been a demonstrator from the first moment and I am so privileged to have been a part of it for the past 3 years. Take a look at how we have grown over the years.

In January I had the absolute fortune of going to San Antonio, Texas for Stampin’ Up!’s annual Leadership Convention. Leadership is an opportunity to socialize with my SU friends and learn about ways to grow and enhance my business. However, no Stampin’ Up! event would be without inspiration. I am very excited about this for a few reasons. First, I am going to be able to teach the basics of a number of Paper crafting areas, and secondly I am offering this amazing series as part of my first ever DEALFIND!!!

Welcome to the Stamp & Tea Studio Learning Series. In this 4 part series you will learn the basics of some of the most popular Paper Crafting techniques. It is recommended that you attend the Stamping 101 class first, but it is not mandatory. A different class will be featured each month over a four month period. The learning series will repeat every 4 months.
Stamping 101
In this class you will learn the basics of stamping. By the end of this class you will have basic knowledge of a number of rubber stamping techniques such as basic stamping, Line art colouring, multi-coloured stamping, two-step stamping & wheels. You will get to use your newly acquired to skills to make 2 basic greeting cards with matching envelopes.
Card Making 101
This class will focus on Card Making. By the end of this class you will have basic knowledge of the principles of card making and learn the formula for perfect cards as well as standard card sizes. You will learn about layering, embossing, punches & embellishments. Each participant will make 2 cards with matching envelopes, using these techniques.
Scrapbooking 101
Scrapbooking is the art of preserving memories. The pictures of your life deserve to be treated like royalty and placing them in a scrapbook made with care is by far the best way to do this. In this class you will learn about layouts, photo cropping, matting, titles & journaling. You will then apply these skills to make 3 pages (6×6, 8 ½x11, 12×12).These layouts can be used independently or together to form a progressive page.
Gifts/Favours 101
Paper crafting is more than just card making & scrapbooking. In this class you will learn about creating coordinated party décor and gifts for all occasions. We will be using a die cutting machine for most of the projects. You will be making a simple favour box, a party banner and a gift card holder.

First ever Fast Class!

I recently heard about a fun and exciting way to teach the art of card making (or for those of you “in the know” to keep you inspired). I am calling this new format Fast Class! Short on time, but love to craft then this class is perfect for you.
1 hour, 1 card, $5!!!
It’s that simple. And I am hosting my first ever Fast Class on Friday, March 23rd, at 7pm. Now, because time is of the essence during a Fast Class your punctuality is very important to me. Everyone who arrives before the 7pm start time will receive a gift from me and will be entered into a draw to win a free stamp set.

Where oh where have I been?

I know, I have been MIA for some time now. And I will make no excuses because I have been a busy busy lady. As you know my family and my full-time job have to take priority over my blogging, but I have left you lonely and without inspiration for some time, and for that I am truly sorry.
I thought you might want to see what my amazing team of B Canadian Stampers made at our last Quarterly Team Party.
The first card uses a new stamp set that will be found in the 2012-2012 Catalogue (yet to be released). I received it for FREE at this years Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas. I was fortunate to be able to attend with a number of my bestest Stampin’ Buds. The second picture is of a cute little book mark we made using Sale-a-bration stuff, and last but not least a quick and simple card also using SAB stuff and a new punch & Stamp set from the Occasion’s Mini call Mixed Bunch.

New Button Buddies Set

I want to share with you a card made using the FABULOUS new stamp set called Button Buddies. This set is AWESOME and coordinates with none other than Stampin’ Up! buttons!! It’s a perfect set to feature this month as the product of the month for August is BUTTONS!!!
I absolutely adore this set. All of the images are designed to allow a button to cover a portion of the image. How cute is that? These are two of the cards that we will be making this Saturday at my 2 for 1 Retired Product Sale and New Catalogue Open House!! I can wait. Everyone who comes will get to choose one of these beauties to make in addition to one other card.
